what is the use of emx_comp.rel file?

Please provide some documentation for the same?

Hello sammy,

you can download our tutorial and you will find a section which describes the emx_comp.rel file.

Basically, you can use the emx_comp.rel file to write relations to all components that are assemble with EMX.

Can you please tell me if it is possible to use that file to add some data to the BOM.

For ex: specifying the material parameter of screw in the .rel file so that it gets updated in the BOM.

I tried doing it but was unsuccessful

Hi,

if you set up a relation that fills the content of a defined EMX Parameter, the parameter value will be visible in the BOM.
