Product key present......need license

I have the product key but need a license. When I put in my basic account info to get a license, I received an error.

I can't proceed further.

Please assist me

1. Launch the License Wizard:

   • Often, the License Wizard will automatically launch the first time you open Mathcad Prime after installation.
   • If not, you can usually find it by:
     • Going to C:\Program Files\PTC\Mathcad Prime X.0.0.0 (where X.0.0.0 is your version number) and running LicenseWizard.exe.
     • Or, within Mathcad Prime, click on the "Mathcad Orb" (the large 'M' in the top left corner), then "Options," and then the "License" tab. From there, you should find an option like "Get License" or "Activate."

2. Choose "Activate purchased license": In the License Wizard, select the option that indicates you want to activate a purchased license.

3. Sign in to your PTC Account:

   • You'll be prompted to sign in with your PTC.com account.
   • If you don't have one, you'll need to create a new account. It's recommended to create a "Customer Support" account to access downloads and licensing tools.

4. Enter your Product Code: You'll see a field to enter your product code (the "product key" you mentioned). This is typically a 22-character code you received when you purchased the software.

5. Acquire License: Follow the on-screen prompts to "Acquire License." The system will then generate and apply your license file.

6. Confirm and Launch: Once the process is complete, you should receive a confirmation that the license has been successfully installed. You can then exit the wizard and launch PTC Mathcad Prime.

Important Considerations:

• Internet Connection: You'll generally need an active internet connection for the activation process.
• License File: In some cases, PTC may send you a license file (often a .txt or .dat file) via email. If this happens, you might need to manually browse for and apply this file within the Mathcad Prime "License" options (look for a "File" radio button and a "Browse" option).
• Student Licenses: If you have a student license, the activation process is very similar, but ensure you meet the eligibility criteria.
• Home Use Licenses: If you have a professional license and are on an active Global Support subscription, you may be entitled to home-use licenses, which have specific restrictions on their use.
