Question

64bit Mathcad 15

Please could the Mathcad team in PTC compile the next 040 release of Mathcad 15 as 64bit as well as 32 bit. For those of us who still love Mathcad 15 and could do with the extra memory it would be a big help without any great effort from PTC.

It would probably need a good deal of regression testing at the least. You may also find that:

  • some elements of the application and/or its libraries are hard-coded for 32-bit
  • some behaviours that expect 32-bit (such as integer size) behave incorrectly under 64-bit operations.

Support for W8.1 will mean 64bit, won't it?

Possibly. But necessarily?

Not for me no. I am more upset that the majority of my scriptable components and Richards 'Extra Components' worksheet no longer work.
