Bizarre results on symbolics with log of hexadecimal

Maybe I am wrong somewhere... ? (But correct results in MC2001 - see attached).

Same results in other MC versions ?

Or it's a bug of MC 14 ?

Regards, Liv.

It does say in the help file

z must be a dimensionless scalar (real, complex, or imaginary), or a vector of scalars. For log and ln functions, z cannot be zero.

seems to be a bug in the M14 symbolic processor, which is MuPad and not Maple.

However, I get a "cannot understand this syntax" as an error message

Same error message I get in M15.

It seems that MuPad does not know anything about hex-numbers (as it does not know anything about units).

Has nothing to do with the ln-function.

Simply try to evaluate 0ah symbolically and you see the problem.
