Euler, cos and sin, complex

MW_10727886_0-1690342850423.pngHello, I am solving a circuit equation in Mathcad 9.0. I want to express the above equation as cos and sin identities (Basically expanding Euler) .I want the equation to look like U/I form .

The imaginary part is zero because Prime assumes all unknowns to be real and you did not provide any non-real quantity.

Guess you should have written

instead of

Using the modifier "rectangular" may also be helpful

BTW, "rewrite, sincos" isn't necessary anymore if you use "rectangular" or Re(...) and (Im(...)

Have you already tried the "rewrite" modifier?

Forcing the symbolics to give you the result exactly the way you want can't be trick and often is a Mission Impossible 😞
