Hi

I have issues trying to plot the Moment and Shear Force diagram of the following case. Any help is highly appreciated! 🙂

Here is a simpler workaround which does not modify your definition of V(x).

Actually you don't have to split the integral at x=L/2. Any position lower than x=9.52m would work OK.

Maybe this will help:
Horst Werkle; Horst Werkle; Silke Michaelsen; Wolfgang Francke; Heiko Denk; Fabian Gerold; Günter Lumpe; Gunnar Möller; Günter Schulz:
Mathcad in structural engineering
2012, ISBN: 9783834882387

It is written in German and contains a CD.

Here is a worksheet that can help you.

Thank you, but I don't want to derive the moment and the shear force diagram since I already know the functions. I want help with the plot.

Something like this?

Can't explain the strange effect for x > 9,52 m. Changing the value of the system variable TOL to get a more precise numerical integration did not help.

Here is a clumsy workaround which should not be necessary

Don't have P7 installed, attached worksheet is in P9 format
