INSTALL PRIME 7

So I downloaded a huge zip file for my IT dept to install Prime 7

File was : MED-60893-CD-270_7-0-0-0.zip about the size to fit on a CD.

IT dude installed it and it morphed into Prime 8.

Our licence server currently not set up for Prime 8 but  only for prime 7 and below.

I work for a huge bureaucracy so getting a Prime 8 licence installed will take more than 6 months  even though we pay for the licence maintenance. ( I am not joking).

So where can i get a Prime 7 installer - so that I can hold the IT guys hand and click the mouse for him.

Hi,

to download Prime 7.0 zip file, go to https://support.ptc.com/appserver/auth/it/esd/product.jsp?prodFamily=MCP page.

That’s where I got the file from. The 7 installs as 8. I will try other links given.

Hi,

I downloaded MED-60893-CD-270_7-0-0-0.zip, unpacked it into new empty directory and run setup.exe.

Mathcad Prime 7.0.0.0 was installed and started without any problem.
