Is it possible to install Prime on more than one PC with the same annual license?

Hello everyone!
I have a spare PC to use in case my current PC crashes. Is it possible to install Prime on both PCs using the same license? (Sorry for my ignorance!)

Hi,

the following applies to commercial licenses:

User can move his license using https://my.ptc.com/ site.

Hi,

it depends of license type.

 

If you own locked license then you can use Prime on single PC. If PC crashes then you have to ask PTC to move license to another PC,

 

If you own floating license then you can use Prime on any PC in computer network. If PC which server as license server crashes then you have to ask PTC to move license to another PC,

 

Note: floating license file contains SERVER and DAEMON lines.

@-MFra-  Moving your license is a legal matter. Once you get a new license file for the new machine, Prime would still work on the old one. But using it on both computers is not legal and would be a violation of your licence contract with PTC.

I don't think that there are single user licenses which would entitle you to use them on more than one machine, but of course you can buy and combine two licenses 😉

As you recently asked about a home-use licenses for retired persons I assume you are not talking about a floating license.

BTW, did you succeed in obtaining a discounted home-use license?

Not yet, it seems that when we talk about discounts, everyone disappears, that is, they don't respond....
