Kirchhoff voltage law

KVL states that the same sense sum of voltages added around a closed loop is zero; at all times by inference.

I think that this also implies the same zero summation for the rates of change. Am I wrong?

I have been a working engineer for 60+ years and I know that I might be forgetful! While re-writing a patent application it occurred to me that this was a valid understanding.
