Software installation is overly complicated and I need help with this. However, when I connect through the chat bot and eventually get to a Case Logger page I find I am unable to actually create a support ticket for a variety of reasons.
Please provide a link to where I can create a support ticket, provide an email, or phone number.
My last option is to contact my license manager / sales person for help.

From your PTC.com home page, scroll down to My Active Requests and there is a link to Open Support Case.
However, the default is to recommend that you ask your question to the Community, but if you read the messages at the bottom, you can open a call with PTC support.
The MathCad installation seems pretty straight forward to me, compared to Creo and Windchill. You will need your server and license information.
