AWS IOT Entities support for Asset Advisor

Hi Team,

 

Are AWS IoT entities imported via AWS IoT Connector supported by default on Asset Advisor.

Or Does the entities require any change (implementation of ThingShapes) for having it listed on Asset advisor?

Hi @unnikrisvp ,

 

You need to add the additional thingshapes for importing AWS entities.

The details are provided in the ThingWorx Apps Customization Guide under section "Creating Custom Thing Templates for Equipment Types"

Can you please more insight of AWS entities. Is it possible for you to share sample entity so that we can look into it.

Also can you please describe your business scenario of using AWS entities alongwith PTC asset advisor.

I am trying to connect to Things on AWS IOT using the ThingWorx IoT connector. See details below:

The AWS IoT entities are imported to ThingWorx as per below mentioned process:

I want to know if the entities such imported will be readily displayed on the Asset advisor. If not, what are the changes that need to be performed for being displayed?
