Is manufacturing apps for production or demo only ? (and some more questions)

Hi , 

I knows there're several pre-built  manufacturing apps extensions. 

  • Are these apps for production or demo ? What are the marketing positioning of these apps?
  • Should we suggest the customer to use the apps if it meet there needs , let's 70%~80% ?
  • I notice the customized guide doc for the apps , but I still feel not so confidence for the customizing.  Is there any plan to publish the source code of the apps so that everyone can use it as a prototype for quick development ?

the MFG apps are applications on-top of Thingworx to cover use cases of IoT applications at our customers that we see very frequently and as valuable in the market.

So this apps are for productive use. 

We know and understand that the apps are not covering 100% of all possible use cases and needs of our customers but you can see the apps as start point and accelerator for the implementation of Thingworx in the factory.

We are working on making the apps with every release easier to customize, because we see that more and more customers are reusing the Asset framework and UI components to build new applications and use cases on top or extending the apps. Currently is 70% of the code open source, that means all the services that are used by the apps are JavaScript and can be seen or edited in the Thingworx composer. We are working to make the other services open source as well.
