dimensions in previous plans after installing creo elements direct modeling 9.0

Pozdravljeni!
Imam težave z dimenzijami v načrtih!
Ko pregledujem načrte, ki so bili prej ustvarjeni, imam težave.
Besedilo za dimenzije izgine ali se zmeša. Kako rešiti težavo?
Hvala in lep pozdrav, Gregor

you took over your customization files?  from PE80 to PE90?

it looks in the screen shot as every dimension is displayed multiple times in your view port?

  • how does it look like when printing (e.g. to pdf) using PE90 ..   May be it is 'only'  a graphical / view port problem?
  • how does a new drawing look like?

Hello!
I downloaded the program creo elements direct modeling express 9.0 after I uninstalled the previous one.
When printing and in pdf format, the dimensions are displayed normally.
There are no such problems with new drawings.
Where and how can I download customization files from PE8.0 to PE9.0?
And this:
When starting the program, it always opens the PTC website.
Can this be turned off?
Thanks, Gregor

Hi Gregor,

Let's start with that.

>When starting the program, it always opens the PTC website.  Can this be turned off?

Open in the installation directory the file

C:\installation directory\Creo Elements\Direct Modeling Express 9.0\personality\pesd_startup

At the bottom of the file, under
;;---- Modeling Express Start Page --
you will find
(oli::sd-display-url “http://www.ptc.com/community/creo-elements-direct/modeling-express/start.htm”)

(Please write info in your Signature) Sysinfo: I use Creo Elements Direct Drafting, Modeling and Express 6-8-9 ( formerly CoCreate- SolidDesigner and Drafting or ME10 )

It is good news that the problem does not exist with new drawings.

There is nothing to download for the customization (in your case). I was talking about your OWN  USER-Customization: When you are changing settings in Modeling / Annotation those values are stored do disk . When starting Modeling Express again they are read and used in your session again. That's all done in the background and you don't have to take care on it manually during normal work.

  • PE 8.0 settings are stored in
    • C:\Users\<yourUserName>\AppData\Roaming\PTC\Creo Elements Direct Modeling Express 8.0\80.0
  • PE 9.0 settings are stored in
    • C:\Users\<yourUserName>\AppData\Roaming\PTC\Creo Elements Direct Modeling Express 9.0\90.0

When you don't have any Modeling express running you can copy the whole structure Express 8.0\80.0 ->  Express 9.0\90.0.  Then start PE9.0 and you will have the same (your) settings in PE9.0 as in the past.

You can give this copy a 2nd try but exclude the 'ANNOTATION'  sub directory. Then your PE90 will have all the old setting in 3D, but Annotation is like fresh 'out of the box'.

It is always a good idea to have a backup of those directories.

Regarding the (multiple) display of the dimensions I do not have an idea for now.  May be you provide an example drawing (for storing the bd2 file you can select an empty part as place holder)
