Will there be CAD files for the 2015 kit of parts and game pieces from PTC, or did these come from First in past years?
Thanks so much

The PTC FRC Field for Recycle Rush is now available for download @ http://www.catalogds.com/db/service?d=first&c=browse The full KOP is coming soon...
Yes! It is still in progress and hope to have it out soon...

Or if you can't wait and have Creo v3, you can import the SolidWorks parts & assemblies from the usfirst.org website. Nice new feature PTC!

Thank you!!!
Thank you!!!!
The AndyMark AM14U2 CAD models were posted in the FIRST Community today; Long, Square and Wide configurations. There's still a bit of work left to get the full KOP done, so I thought I'd share what most people are looking for first.
An update was required to the PTC CAD FRC Field today. The full assembly has been updated and a new ZIP is available @ www.ptc.com/go/firstkop. The new ZIP contains a _readme_.txt file with the change history and the name of the top level assembly. Everyone should discard the .10 version of the FOP and only use the .20 version.
It would be really cool to have those provided in a library so all the teams needed to do was update their workspaces...hint, hint!
I have asked for that in the past too!!! Would save a lot of time, I/O and disk space usage.
It's coming, but I've only got so much free time...
The am-3000 (roboRIO) part is huge (55MB). Is that expected? It takes a long time to manipulate on my older computer.
Rande, this model comes directly from National Instruments. The best way to simplify this on your older computer is to replace it with a "box" representation. Just create an extruded box of the same size and use it as the primary component in your design. The electronics only need to be packaged in most cases, so using over simplified versions is a quick and easy way to get this done.
Someday I'll have to record a video of the old electronics packaging demo I did as a FIRST kickoff workshop years ago. The strategy was the same, replace the heavy cRio and Jaguar models with lightweght representations to simplify the packaging process in CAD.

roboRio - Does a CADD model with labeling on top surface exist?
If you are looking to make a nice picture, a method I have used is to take a photograph of the item, crop it to exactly the outline of the surface (just to where the flat part drops off to chamfers) and then apply the image as a decal appearance to the part.
These are some videos covering applying decals:

Using a program that allows the use of transparency and saving the image as a PNG file will allow the original surface color to show through. JPG files do not have transparency. There is a utility with Creo that allows conversion of an image : This post will help http://communities.ptc.com/message/236019#236019
