FRC team 1622 is exploring the idea of using a Gantt Chart within PTC Windchill. We are interested in anyone or team that has used Windchill in this fashion. Looking for an example and some help with Windchill.

If you have MS Project available and are familiar with using it, install the plugin from Software Downloads under Quick Links.

Go to the plan under your teams project and export it. Open it in Project, populate with tasks, create dependencies, schedule events and then export it back to Windchill. Use the Gantt explorer option under plans to explore the thing online.

You'll have to decide for yourself whether you want to do your plan editing online or by downloading to Project and sending back up. Either one works.

You'll have to experiment to make sure your resources (team members) get exported so you can assign them to tasks.

Once you've got a plan uploaded, it will start driving tasks to team members home pages.

Shake thoroughly, allow to settle and enjoy.
