General PTC CREO Questions

Hi,

Is it reasonable to use PTC CREO on a MacBook Pro with a parallels desktop system running? And are there any limitations whatsoever in the student version?

Thank you for your help.

Hi Collin,

Yes, that is compltetely reasonable assuming that the MacBook isn't too old. It's not formally supported by PTC but I've seen quite a few people manage it.

As far as limitations of the student edition, there are a few minor differences from the commercial edition. First of which is that student edition cannot open commercial edition files. Besides that the student edition only includes certain modules, depending on which package you get.

Yes, this should be okay. If your laptop is intel based, you can also set it up to dual boot to Windows. I posted an article about BootCamp some time back. http://communities.ptc.com/message/240619#240619
