Ineterfacing of Pro-E with excel

Hi, I would like to link my excel file with my model built using top down approach. I would to use this excel file to change the parmeters of model and regenerate the model. I know there are tow methods by which i can do this, one by pro-gram and other is excel analysis. Need some help to understand both the methods.
