Original part file cannot be opened in Student Edition

Greetings,

 

I have successfully installed PTC Creo 4.0 Student Edition today. Licensing works just fine. In attempt to make screw fastener in assembly following error is showing up:creo_error.PNG

After closing the dialog Creo falls.

I would appreciate your help.

Hi,

 

unfortunatelly you cannot use intelligent fasteners (IFX) functionality, because IFX model database is not compatible with Student Edition license. I guess you can request Academic Edition license - ask CAD administrator at your school/university. Academic Edition license enables users to open files created by Commercial license.

thank you for the clarification and quick response. Fortunately I was able to get Academic Edition. After its activation IFX works without problem.
