student edition ptc creo parameatric files not working crossing over from 2.0 to 3.0

I resently updated Creo to 3.0 and the old files that I created in 2.0 will not open nor function in 3.0 my computer teacher at school talk to a cero support technician and he said something about taking our new license and putting it in the old version I am not sure what to to and I would like someone to make a step by step list on how to fix this,

But that problem was from registering in the first 3 days 3.0 was released. Did you download and install when 3 was released and are just now using 3? If not, then I suppose it's something else...
