Bluescreen after installing newest Win10-Update

Hello guys,

Im having problems with Creo Parametric 3. It worked fine for my computer before, but after installing the newest Win10-Update its crashing with a bluescreen. Its opening fine, but when I want to start a new project, or want to close it, its crashing with a bluescreen.

I tried to uninstall our configuration we got from university, I reinstalled, but nothing fixed it.

Windows doesnt give any further information. No ID or anything else. The information is just bluescreen.

I dont know what I could do now. Need some help.

Thank you

Were you on Windows 10 before?

Yes. I had Win 10 (64bit) before. I just upgraded to the newest version which is coming the next weeks

I am having the same problem as well after upgrading to the latest version of Windows 10 on two separate machines. I believe the BSOD error was UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP.

I also have exactly the same issue with you on two different computers. I think it's the problem that WIN10 creator's update is not compatible with Creo 3.0 somewhere. I tried to find a solution for a long time but failed...what a pity..

Is anyone on Creator's update and working fine? Just curious. When they do these slow roll-outs it's hard to tell what issues people are dealing with.

Yes, Creo Paramentric 3.0 works fine with my laptop with the installed Creator's update.

But on my desktop i have the same problem. An unhandled "Double Fault" exception occurs, according to the crash dump file.

Hi,

please tell us what graphic cards are installed in laptop/desktop.

Hi Martin,

Laptop (Lenovo Thinkpad T460p University):

CPU: Intel Core i7-6700HQ

GPU: Intel HD Graphics 530 (integrated) and NVIDIA GeForce 940MX

Creo Parametric 3.0 works with both GPU's without BSOD.

Desktop:

CPU: Intel Xeon X5460

GPU: AMD Radeon RX580

Not working.

Kind regards

Try installing the latest driver for the video card, and if you already have the latest driver try uninstall/reinstalling it.

I have also tried it with the AMD Cleanup Utility and after that i reinstalled the latest driver (Crimson ReLive 17.5.2) . But didn't work for me.

King regards

Hmm, ok other than checking the system logs and device manager and to see if anything is looks odd, I'm not sure.

Hi!

I have exactly the same problem as you! Could you solve the problem yet? I would be wery thankful for that.

Hi Martin:

Thanks for your info.

Is there a schedule to resolve the problem?

Microsoft is going to push the latest update for WIN10 very soon. But I have to work with Creo 3.0 almost every day.

Thanks

Alex

Hi,

I am Windows 7 user, therefore I do not have "Windows 10 update problem", now and in the near future (until 2020) .

Windows 10 users must find the way how to live with Windows 10 ... I hope there are methods how to stop/postpone automatic updating.

As I checked, there seems no way to stop windows from automatically updating for WIN10...

Hope PTC can get it resolved soon

Thanks

Alex

Microsoft is planning to bring out a fix on 27th of june according to the PTC knowledgebase article.

One of my customers came with the tip to get rid of the update notifications for this update in Windows 10 Professional;

- Go to update & security

- Go to Advanced options

- Check the box for 'Defer Feature Updates'

Has this issue been resolved?

I have 7 updates (security and feature) ready in my update status window that I am afraid to download and install...

A TS Bulletin has been posted on the PTC Support Website:

Windows 10 Creators Update (1703) may cause blue screen system shut down with Creo Parametric 3.0

Thanks,

Amit

What is it saying? I dont have permissions to see it. Is there an update coming soon? Hope so, having exam in 2 months and working on school pc is cancer

Hi Marcel,

I thinks that if you turn on Creo, three websites come on together, which seems to be causing problems when this website is turned on.

so in my case,

1. Disconnected WLAN and open Creo3.0

2. If you passed 1, please try as below

File > Window Settings > Expand the browser during startup (No Check)

3. Finally WLAN connect and check

I wish your problem be solved.

Thanks.
