Creo 2.0 incredibly slow on Lenovo Y510P

I am unable to CAD (Creo 2 and 3) on my Lenovo Y510P. I updated the drivers from nvidia and my computer still operates extremely slow. From my understanding the specifications of this laptop are sufficient enough to run this software. I read somewhere that Lenovo has a lot of adware built into their computers, I don't know if that is causing too much memory usage.

When I run Creo 2 the memory is around 50-60% usage. And CPU runs around 15-60%. From my understanding that is sufficient and I should be smooth sailing. Any suggestions? Help please.

Fixed it by disabling Nvidia graphics card

Hi John,

I was just checking the Platform Support page for Creo 2.0 & Lenovo.  I don't see that the Lenovo Y510P is a certified machine.  Disabling the graphics card, is not the best idea, as the graphics will become very choppy, but you will need to find a certified machine, to see improved performance.

Thanks,

Amit
