Hi,

did you try Im installing creo 3 student edition link ?

I looked at this post but it does me no good as I can not locate c:\ProgramData....... on my computer.  I can not find anywhere that the existing license is stored and when I download the student k-12 version it doesn't at any point ask for a license to be entered.

I am desperate to get this working by next week for 30 computers in our drafting lab.  Why on a brand new install would the license need to be renewed?

I should mention that I tried to also follow the instructions here http://apps.ptc.com/schools/references/relicense_creo3_schools_standard.pdf  but I am unable to fine the reconfigure.exe

C:\ProgramData is a hidden folder by default, so you won't see it.

From the Windows file explorer in Windows 7, go to Organize > Folder and Search Options. Click on the View tab and select "Show hidden files, folders, and drives", which is indented under "Hidden files and folders". That should make the ProgramData folder visible for you.

Hi,

in case that you represent K-12 school and you need K-12 licenses for lab with 30 computers it would be better to go to http://www.ptc.com/academic-program/products/free-software/k12-educator page. On this page you can identify your K-12 school and click Submit.

On next "Thank you" page you will find following button:

  • REQUEST PREMIUM LAB PRODUCT CODE

PREMIUM LAB license is floating license with quantity 150 valid for 2 years.
