Is there a config option to retrieve 'table from file'?

Is there a config option to retrieve 'table from file'?

Similar to pro_format_dir.

I want Pro to point to a network drive containing the .tbl file so all users use the same table.

This directory would be write protected by the system admin.

We are using creo elements/pro5.0.

Thanks in advance.

Kevin

pro_table_dir <YOUR PATH>

Oops. I just realized this is only in Creo 2.0 (Maybe in 1.0 as well but we don't have that installed.) This option is not in Elements/5.0.

What we've done before is, we had our Table folder on our server and the location saved to the "Common Folders" column, so it's only one mouse click to get to the folder where the tables are located. See the pic attached.

for drawings ?

You yould put your tables into your formats. If they are not always needed place them outside the drawing area of your template drawing so the users can pull them over.

Reinhard & Grahame,

Thank you for your replies.

The pro_table_dir config option in Creo 2 is exactly what I was looking for in Elements/ 5.0. Thanks for verifying it dosen't exist.

We should be using Creo 2 by years. We're currently deploying a hardware / Windows 7 upgrade to support going to Creo 2.

Thanks again.

Kevin
