Pro/E WF5 Performance with PDMLink slower than WF3

All,

We are currently using WF3/m240 with PDMLink 9.1/m40.

We are working on upgrade to WF5/m90. In our testing, WF5 is slower
interacting with PDMLink versus WF3 in just about everything we're measuring.

We are using IE8 as the browser, as we are having issues getting the Mozilla/Gecko
browser to work (it disappears).

We are working on reviewing the config, clientregistry and server side settings,
but am wondering if this is something that is a known issue with WF5 and if I'm
fighting a losing battle.

Thanks!

We do not have a comparison between WF3 and WF5 but definitely experienced quite a significant loss of performance between WF4 and WF5, especially memory consumption.

Which OS are you using? Win 7 64-bit should improve the performance. We're still struggling with XP 32-bit.

Mozilla did not work, have you tried config optionwindows_browser_typeie_in_sep_process

This TPI have recomended tuning options for PDMLink and IE8https://www.ptc.com/appserver/cs/view/solution.jsp?n=141292

These are settings recommended from PTC to avoid conflicts in PDMLink.
