Saving an assembly and parts back one Creo version

We have a vendor that we wish to share an assembly model with to do some analysis work. We use Creo 3.0 and they use Creo 2.0. All of the model material properties have been set and we would like to retain those in the models we give them. Is there a way to do this that will maintain the correct properties.

Thanks. I had also found this in the knowledgebase as well. I did do this method for an assemblies. It does not deal well with parts in family tables like fasteners. Most features cannot be edited either, but it does retain parameters and material definitions.
