The option Mechanism_Design has not been acquired on Pro E WF5.0

Hi,

When I click Applications>Mechanism, the feature doesn't work, and a message appeared: "The option Mechanism_Design has not been acquired "

This feature was working on my old computer, but doesn't work on new one with same licence.

Thanks for your help!

Bill

Hi,

1.] compare license files

2.] compare .psf files used to start ProE

If you have mechanism design license for Wildfire 5.0, you can directly add that in PSF file. Open proe1.psf in text editor (from Installation location\bin) and add 127 in brackets in line for PROE_FEATURE_NAME.

Thanks, MaheshSh! I followed you said, added 127 in bracket in the line (see A), but can't save it (see B).

I tried to save this PSF file outside, and remove back to \bin,  but fail.

Need help please.

Thanks, Bill

@bxu

It is due to write permissions. First copy the PSF to desktop, make changes (as earlier) in copied file , save. Finally drag the saved file from desktop and drop in bin folder, it will prompt for Admin privileges, select Move and Replace. Still if it fails, contact your IT admin for help.
