repost from Admin

I posted this in Admin but did not get any repsonses. I need to post here for some help getting my license updated.

This is an update on my latestattempt to get M100 running. I again went and retrieved my license update via PTC.com and this time I used the Download Manager instead of the "Install from Web" option. I downloaded the M100 zip....extracted all then ran setup.exe.

Most of the files now show an updated date EXCEPT the really important one, "parametric.exe" still has my M050 install date. Why do all the other files have an update except the executable?

Do I need to "point" my start up ICON to a different directory?

FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you doing an "upgrade"? Is there anything preventing you from uninstalling (whatever is there) and doing a clean install of just M100? Do you need both builds available? (This is possible, but you need to install in separate locations.)

Dean,

you should see that the install has created a new folder with the datecode
under the common files folder, Mine here is M090

If you have made any shortcuts to your desktop they may point to the wrong
location

the install will also have put new psf files in the Parametric and Simulate
folders pointing to the new cut of Creo so any older ones that you may have
modified will not work with this new cut unless you change the date code in
the files

Let me know if I can help

Chris,

I did an complete uninstall this morning of both my M050 and M100 files. I ran setup again and it looked liked everything went fine. But....and there always seems to be one...upon launching Creo I get the Fatal Error Traceback window and it does not launch. DEAD IN THE WATER!

A curious thing to note is when looking at my license.dat I noticedit has a year old date...back to when I installed M050. Does that file stay tagged to the licensing origination date with PTC?

Need some help.
