Casting AR from Hololens to Microsoft Hub's & Other computers

Purpose: Cast hololens screen in real-time so other people can see what's in front of the Hololens user.

Microsoft APP "microsoft hololens" can do this

Problem:

Cast screen before starting the Thingworx app on the hololens >> Thingworx app on the hololens can't read the Thingmark

Cast screen after starting the Thingworx app & scanning the Thingmark on the hololens / starting AR >> user can see the AR but the AR is not casted to the hub/computer.

:-).

Start Thingworx view.

Launch your experience.

Say "Hey View, enable recording". (its just a voice command)

When it replies with "enabled recording" you can just start the livestream from within the Hololens app.

Hej Koen,

for me it works with the MS Hololens APP.

However it does not work if you start the Hololens APP first - start livestream and then view.

On my side it currently only works if you start View, scan the thingmark and launch the hololens stream afterwards from within the Hololens App.

Hope it helps

Well the hololens app from microsoft requires some settings - developer mode for example.

But this has nothing to do with Thingworx View.

So the Hololens app is running, you can connect to your hololens and stream - but not with view?

even not with the way I provided? (see screenshot - it should work as it does for me)

Yep, can see other AR on the computer screen, but not from Thingworx view.

The hololens has the latest software update os build 10.0.14393.1083

Koen, could you try the following:

"hey view, enable recording" from within thingworx view. Afterwards start the livestream in the app.
