Question

how to publish TWX Studio experiences via our own foundation server?

Hi,

we have our own TWX foundation server (academic edition).

Is it possible that our students can enter the URL of our own foundation server as they create a new Studio experience and publish it via our server?

We already tried to grant public access to the server (in the composer) with the documentation, but it didn't work out.

Thanks

Clemens

Are you using a trial version of Studio? Experiences are published to the Experience Service - not to ThingWorx foundation. If you are looking to incorporate the streaming data from your local ThingWorx instance into your experiences, you can use federation to connect the trial TWX instance with your local instance. For more information on federation, please see our guide here: ThingWorx Federation Setup Guide

Hi,

thank you very much - this is bringing us a step forward.

Yes, we currently have an extended trial license for Studio (this will hopefully change in future).

Do you have more information/videos/docs about how to use data from our local TWX instance in Studio projects?

Thanks and regards,

Clemens

We have a short tutorial in the help on how to use ThingWorx data within Studio. It can be found in our help here: Binding ThingWorx Data

We also have a YouTube channel that has some tutorials on this. Here is the Studio Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2vSiFtJK2wA&list=PLX-3o2YhV9V5dIwPTNldSyhYLvpoRd29G
