Having troubles getting Windchill 11.0 to connect to the Oracle Database and recognize the DBA username/PW

Hi, we have a trial version of Windchill 11.0 and need to get it up and running.  When we go to create the database we are not able to due to the fact that it does not recognize the DBA's credentials.  Does anybody happen to know of and tricks that we might have missed, I have read multiple articles and instruction guides on this and everything points us into different directions.
