How can I create attribute based numbering for EPM document via OIR

Hi All,

I'm trying to achieve attribute-based numbering for a EPM document via OIR.

Followed CS284109 was able to achieve for WTPart however trying for EPM is not working.

Is any more configurations need to be done so that it works in EPM as well.

If anyone has tried out or knows the solution please do let me know.

Hi @Durga 

With OIR rules and CAD attributes there are some issue with upload and check-in operations.

The CAD attribute value is not populated correctly to the method in the OIR rule which cares about the result of the value in the rule.

During checkin the value in the method is allays null or empty.

 

So I guess that can be issue.

 

PTC never helped with this behavior even I described exactly what the issue is.

I tried to set Folder based on attributes.

 

In your case, you should setup the CAD attribute where the number and name are copied from.

The attribute has to exist in a model, has to be set as designated and also the attribute has to be defined as global and soft attribute in the Windchill
