Windchill O&V: Set variant name same as generic name

Hello!

I am implementing Windchill Options and Variants capabilities,

As a result of a Configure action I want my new variant WTPart to have the same name attribute as my generic WTPart.

How can I implement that in the OIR?

In the meantime I found a solution using parameters (as part of advanced selection logic).

Most likely he is making use of User Interface section of the Parameter definition.

Variant Name = Yes

variantName

Identifies this parameter as the one that drives the name of the variant.
