Greetings Wind-Chillers,
Our company is installing Windchill for the first time, and we are working out some of our CAD/WTPart Structure build preferences. Windchill 11.0 M030 CPS08, WGM 11.0 M030, Inventor Pro 2017, Windows 10
I am correct in predicting the behavior listed below?
We are considering adding a Boolean attribute to the CAD objects and templates called Part Structure Override Attribute Name.
As I understand it at this time, when that attribute is set to YES and even if the tick box on the check in action is set to YES, a WTPart is NOT created and Auto-Associated with the CAD object.
If the value in the CAD object was set to NO, then a WTPart would be created if the tick box on Check in was selected YES.
I would very much like it if Windchill would interpret the absence of the attribute (older CAD objects) as a NO, and not create a WTPart. I suspect this would be customization.
It seems that once the CAD objected is checked in, it's possible to edit association and manually create and associate WTPart to the CAD Document. So that is good.
This is the behavior I'm expecting. Am I correct...or..?
