We have an issue with the Desktop Integration functionality in Windchill 11.0 M020-CPS08.
Some users are no longer able to upload Word documents using the Windchill Desktop Integration functionality.
There are no errors in the log files when upload fails.
When downloading a file, the following pop-up message appears: Do you want to overwrite local copy (version 001.2) with server copy (version 001.4). Note that the version of the downloaded copy remains 001.2, even if the content is updated to version 001.4.
When starting the upload process of this file, a new pop-up appears: Do you want to overwrite server copy (version 001.4) with local copy (version 001.2). Independent of the answer, the upload fails.
When local copy is deleted before starting the download process, the error message remains during upload. As soon as the document is downloaded, the value of the attribute version becomes 001.2
This behavior is not linked to a user account, but to the computer he is using. What could be causing this behavior?
We have compared Java versions, cleared browser history,cleared tomcat but nothing helped.
Changing download mechanism to Basic Browser functionality works, but this mechanism doesn't update Windchill attributes in the document.
