Desktop Intergration - Excel Macro

hey,

i'm testing Desktop integration, but we've got a lot of excel documents who automatically create a PDF document using a Macro(in the same or a sub-folder).

Now when i put the excel document in windchill and open it it works fine, i can check it out edit it and even use the macro to generate the PDF document.

But the PDF document (and sub-folder) arn't uploaded to windchill but are generated in the local windchill file location (../documents/windchill/libary/location of excel file).

How can i automatically upload those file and folder to the location where they belong?

    Hello,

     

    I would like to recomand to move the PDF autogeneration to the server. 

    User doesn't have to care about the PDFs. Just care about releasing the document in Windchill.

    You can create customization for workflow process that generate PDF from excel if the Document is released 

    and stored as a attachement of document.

     

    I've already done it for our customer.

     

    I hope this idea could he helpfull.
