ECAD: Windchill Workgroup Manager Support for ECAD Applications Dropped

Hello

 

I have just read the support page and I would like to avoid any confusion.

 

How does that impact CREO ECAD (Shematic, piping and cabling) ?.

I first thought this was related to third party ECAD software but this phrase puzzles me

 

PTC Windchill Workgroup Managers for ECAD (all products):

 

What does all products mean?  Creo too ?

In all the explanations I've heard, I understood this to be 3rd party ECAD applications only.

    thank you for your email.

    These are the links I referred too. I am glad this is the understanding.

    It would be very surprising that PTC stop supporting one of their products for integration but who knows.

    Hi Chris,

    PTC will retire their WGM that will be substituted by partner's SW but I don't know if this will have some costs.  

     

    Creo Illustrate WGM will also be retired but will be directly integrated with Windchill as it is now for Creo parametric

     

    Below notice taken from help guide:

     

    Windchill Workgroup Manager no longer supports Creo Illustrate and IsoDraw
    Product: All Windchill Workgroup Manager
    Release: 11.2.0.0
    Additional Details
    • Windchill Workgroup Manager no longer supports Creo Illustrate and IsoDraw. When installing Windchill Workgroup Manager, the installer will not display Creo Illustrate and IsoDraw in the authoring applications to integrate list.
    • The Creo Illustrate Direct Link to Windchill is supported with the Windchill 11.2.0.0 release
