Fast Instream Installtion

We are converting to a 64-bit server monolithic server architecture in our development server configurations and found out Fast doesnt work on 64-Bit. Does any one have an installation process for installing Fast on a different computer than the File Server?

Looking for high level, I.E. do I start install on the File Server or on the seperate 32-bit server and point to the file/data server?

Marc,

Install FAST on your preferred server first.

On your Windchill install make sure you select the option to configure Windchill for Index Search.

Then point it to the location of the new FAST server.

This can also be easily configured by setting the wt.indexing.indexHost=[Your New Host Name] parameter in wt.properties

Just to clarify, I am installing the Windchill Index Search from the PSI on the 32 bit server.

The Index Search DNS should point to the File Server or the Data Server?

Then using the PSI configure the Index search on the File Server computer?
