How do I associate a new WT part to an older CAD part?

A few years ago our company did not use the WT part function in Windchill.

Today we want to use WT parts for everything.

How do I create a WT part alone and then associated with the part we created a few years ago?

Looks like the CAD Part was "new" and never uploaded. You need to upload or check that in.

Couple of questions. You looking to do this manually or via script or load for all? Are you ok with showing an iteration to that WTPart? Is the CAD Part at the current version/iteration you are linking to?

Should be simple enough to put both into a single workspace, select both and associate. Modification is the WTPart as the CAD Part should not have to be checked out.

I created a WT part in one of the folder and then add to my workspace.

Then I created a CAD part in the same workspace.  Then I tried to use auto associate to link them.  It did not work.
