Hi all,

in my pc I have windows 7 x64 edition.

Office 2010 enterprise edition.

Pro/e Wildfire 4 M160 edition.

The question is: how to insert a simple jpg or gif or bmp image from pro/e?

In my old client with windows xp I selected Insert -> object -> browse, chose a file and insert.

The image was available and visible corectly in my drawing!

Now, with the same operation the image is not visible.

Appears a black box with the name of the image!!!!!

Terrible. I'm loosing my patient

Thanks to all

Hi

When you are going for Insert object; two options should appear

1.Creat new

2.Creat from file

You are going for Creat from file which shows you the black box

I would suggest you to go for CREAT NEW with the following steps

1. CREAT NEW

2. Select Bitmap Image and press ok

3. A Square box would appear.

4. In the The top left corner will see the EDIT (drop down)

5. In the dropdown you can select PASTE FROM

6. Now you can browse for the file

7. Then click outside the box.

8. You will see the image in the box

You can move or stretch the box as per requirement.

Hope this will solve your problem

Seems works correctly.

Thanks.

This is a mistery because with my old workstation with windows xp, the same version of application worked only opening the jpg file.

The only thing different was the version of office and there was the installation of photoeditor of office xp.

bah.... :-))

There is a way to increase the limit of ProE for insert BMP files?

When I insert an image and then I save the drawing there is a popup that says: please choose a smaller image.... is there a parameter in proe to increase this?

Thanks
