Intralink 3.4 Crashing

I have a user at an out of state location who is having issues of
Intralink crashing, sometime just by hitting refresh. My first thought
was random loss of network connectivity but IT is of the opinion that
the VPN between here and there is fine and stable.

Any thought or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

When we were still on Ilink 3.4 I had user in a similar situtation: Out of state, over a vpn, Ilink prone to crashing
after idle periods
What we did was set the Object Status Update preference to every 60 minutes.
Preferences | Application Behavior | Enable Update | Every [60] min

I've got one remote user that who's Ilink crashes all the time. What would
happen if it he set it to "Never. Update manually." How would this be a
bad thing?

Thanks,
Joe S.

In our case the "Update every 60 mins" helped because it kept the existing connection thru the vpn alive. I think without this after a certain period of inactivity the vpn (Cisco ASA) would drop the
connection (tunnel?) the Intralink client was using. When the user started to use the Intralink client again it would crash because of the lost connection.
