Looking for a method to set a default value for an alias attribute on a Change Notice object.  Any ideas?

According to following article, it doesn't look like there is a way to do this.

That article is junk.

The resolution does not directly answer the question. Working to product spec means what, Yes or No? Inferred by the second line that the answer is no, but it is ambiguous.

I am with you on this one, the answer is unfortunate no. I will have the article updated to reflect this information clearly.

The alias attributes by definition are not persisted in the DB , therefore it doesn't make sense to assign a default to something that is not stored anywhere.

The value of any alias is calculated on the fly when displayed .

I hope this helps .
