I need to do the upgrade from Oracle 12cR1 on a Windows Server 2012 to Oracle 1cR2.
This is in preparation for doing a Windchill upgrade from 11.0 M030 to 11.1 M020.
After I have Windchill 11.2 running on Windows Server 2012, I will rehost it to WIndows 2016.
My first step is to do the Oracle upgrade. I plan on doing am export data pump of the Oracle data, remove 12cR1 install 12cR2 and then import the data files back into Oracle. Since it is all running on the same machine, I figure this is the cleanest method.
Is there anything else I need to do with the data once it is in Oracle 12cR2?
Does Oracle have an upgrade utility that would allow me to upgrade my existing 12cR1 install to 12cR2 without dumping/removing/importing the data?
