I am building a test system for my Windchill upgrade to 12.0.2.6.
Install Oracle 19c.
Run the 12.0.2.6 PSI Setup to configure Oracle.
It has been running for almost 20 hours and is stuck at 19% complete.
I can see the database files have been created.
SQLDeveloper shows the database. SQLPlus allows me to login in.
I have 2 options:
1) Is it safe to just kill the PSI process and keep going with the upgrade on the Windchill server.
2) Kill the process and start over with a clean Oracle install and then rerun the PSI Setup.
Solved! Go to Solution.
I ended up going with option 2 and the PSI completed in about 35 minutes.
Really strange behavior and it has happened before.
The kill the process, remove Oracle and start over seems to be the best strategy, it just takes time. 😞

Hi Ben,
When you say remove oracle, you mean remove database schema created by PSI?
Even I am facing the same issue,it stuck there with no error.
Thank you

I removed the Oracle install itself, and the Windchill install, and did a clean start over.
I have found this to be the most effective way of being sure the installation and upgrade process work succesfully.
