Promotion Request CAD data together with WTpart

Hello,

We are managing CAD data in Windchill related to WT-parts.
The CAD data and the WT-parts follow a different lifecycle.
The CAD data has two statuses: In Work and Released
The WT-part has more and different lifecycle statuses.

Because the CAD data and the WT-part are most of the time related we have many times the whish
to release this data and Wt-part together.
But it seams to us that this is not possible because of the different lifecycles.
Is that correct or is there a way to promote them with one PR?

    Hello @bbusschers 

    Promotion Request do not allow you to promote objects to different LC states and it can not be changed.

     

    You have two options

    1.. Think about lifecycle strategy and change the lifecycle template that WTPart and CAD Doc have same states. 

    2. Use a Change management instead of Promotion Request. Change notice allows you to promote objects to different states if the system is properly configured .
