I am setting up WGM for Solidworks and am getting the following message
I
REM The original installed shortcut uses the line below:
REM C:\Windows\System32\wscript.exe //e:jscript "C:\PTC/wgm\bin\uwgm_client.js"
REM This script only sets the location of the workspace to a non-default location before starting the WGM
set WWGM_VFS_PTC_PLACES=%USERPROFILE%\sw\WGM\Workspace
set PTC_WFS_ROOT=%USERPROFILE%\sw\WGM\.wgm
set PTC_WLD_ROOT=%USERPROFILE%\sw\WGM
set PTC_WF_ROOT=%USERPROFILE%\sw\WGM
set PTC_WGM_STARTUP_DIR =%USERPROFILE%\sw\WGM
REM C:\WINDOWS\system32\wscript.exe //e:jscript "C:\PTC/wgm\bin\uwgm_client.js"
"C:\Program Files\PTC\wgm\i486_nt\obj\wwgmvfsconfig.exe"
C:\windows\system32\wscript.exe //e:jscript "C:\Program Files\PTC/wgm\bin\uwgm_client.js"
the resulting directory show a network icon for workspace.
Any ideas why I am getting a permission issue here, why it is a network location and how to resolv
Hi James,
did you try what I answered in the other discussion you asked ?
From 11.1, to change the WFS location, you need to use the UI:
Tools > Windchill File System Management > Windchill Folder Location
My guess is that you have a permission error, hence I suggest to find a folder where you do have full control.
Yes I tried that and I believe that I am having an issue with McAfee

I may have to see if corporate security will let me turn if off temporarily for testing. (not likely)
