Set State for Contributor License

Version: Windchill 12.1

 

Use Case: Contributor License is granted for creating document but not for "Set State" actions.


Description:

Hello experts,

 

As said in use case, contributor is able to create document but is not granted for "Set State" action.

Author license is the minimal for the Set State action.

 

Is it an acceptable workaround to create an action that send the created document in a workflow were an expression will "Set State" to this document ?

In fact, i was sure that Contributor was not allowed to create promotion request.....

 

With this information, i could verify that it was possible.

why don't these users just create a promotionrequest with Review Process, the object should automatically reach the given state
