SolidEdge CAD data management problems

Version: Windchill 12.0

 

Use Case: Hi, We are using SolidEdge since 2018, going through different Windchill-SolidEdge-CADi versions and we are constantly facing problems: - CAD data marked as our of date. - CAD data saved but not marked as modified. - Drawings published with the wrong attributes displayed. These problems are occurring randomly, but they have a huge impact in our activities. I have created several tickets with PTC and Birlasoft, but they have not solved the problem. Is anyone familiar with this kind of problems? Many thanks


Description:

Problems apparently occurring randomly.

 

  • After the check-in some CAD data is marked out of date, performing refresh or update is not removing the mark. Synchronizing the workspace can work, but often it's asked to check-out some data.
  • Sometimes after the check-in the local modified data is replaced with the commonspace unmodified data.
  • Sometimes the drawings are published with wrong attributes (the actual drawing shows the right one, the published PDF is not).

    Hi,

     

    I'm not able to reproduce all the problems reported above, except for the 1st one:

    • After the check-in, some CAD data is marked out of date; performing refresh or update is not removing the mark. Synchronizing the workspace can work, but often it's asked to check-out some data.

    This topic is described in Article - CS223174; the main difference is that performing an update and then a refresh as suggested is not always resolving fixing the out of date.

     

    This is an annoying problem, but it is not dangerous for us as the other ones.
