Upgrading WC 10.1 with SQL server 2008 R2[Enterprise] to to 11 M030 with SQL server 2014[Standard]

Dear Experts,

We are planning to upgrade 10.1 M030 to 11.0 M030 with the SQL server Database.

Meanwhile we wanted to change SQL Edition from Enterprise to Standard due to the limited needs [functionality] than it was originally had and also cost incurs for the Enterprise edition.

Please clarify if this is a right approach and share your feedback if any one have done this already.
