What will be a performance impact for Windchill 12.1.2.X version when installed with OS Linux versus OS used as Windows compatible server ?

actually we are planning to move to windows server from linux

Performance will be more impacted by the resources allotted than the OS you are using. If you provide more CPU and RAM you should get better performance regardless of the OS.

Many years ago, we changed out the Windchill server and the users noticed immediately that Windchill was performing better. This was back in the Windchill 7 days.

We went from a dual CPU with 8GB of memory to a dual quad-core with 16GB of memory on Windows Server 2000 32-bit OS.
