Greetings all. Has anybody had any success connecting Windchill 10 WGM with Creo Schematics? We've got the WGM working with Isodraw but Creo Schematics is not cooperating. Any tips would be appreciated. We're trying this with Windchill 10 m020 and Creo Schematics 1 m010.

Thanks to the help from Tech Support we've made progress. You have to create the ECAD design in commonspace using the new ECAD wizard. Add and Check Out the design to a workspace. Launch the stand alone WWGMECAD and verify the connection to Creo Schematics. Connect to the workspace. Select the ECAD file and use RightMouseButton to Import the Creo Schematic content to the file. Now you have a Creo Schematic that you can Check In/Check Out and/or other Windchill actions. When the design is opened the file gets unpacked in the working pdm directory. We're told that Creo Schematics 2 will have built-in interface.

Hi Jim,

Were you tried/able to autocreate a part in Windchill by checking in a Creo Schematics Design

Thanks

Hassen.....typically, for us, we would not have a WTPart for the schematic since we don't purchase at that level. As far as creating WTParts, we rarely use AutoCreate. To answer your question though, I did not attempt to create a wtpart against the schematic either manually or with autocreate.
